15 ml La Fee Parisienne Superieure
45 ml Gentleman Jack Whiskey
45 ml Drambuie
3 dash Peychaud’s aromatic bitters
3 dash Angostura Bitters
How to make:
POUR absinthe into ice-filled glass, TOP with water and leave to stand. Separately STIR bourbon, cognac, sugar and bitters with ice. DISCARD contents of glass (absinthe, water and ice) and STRAIN contents of shaker into absinthe-coated glass.
Comment:
A riff on the classic Sazerac.

30 ml Rittenhouse Bottled in Bond (Риттенхауз)
15 ml Bénédictine D.O.M. liqueur
30 ml Martini Rosso (Мартеллетти)
4 ml La Fee Parisienne Superieure (PF)
2 dash Peychaud’s aromatic bitters
22 ml Chilled water (omit if wet ice) (без неё, конечно)
How to make:
STIR all ingredients with ice and strain into chilled glass.
Comment:
A rye-based Sweet Manhattan made even sweeter with herbal Bènèdictine liqueur and bittered with Peychaud’s and absinthe.
Originally made with equal parts rye whiskey, Bénédictine DOM and sweet vermouth, unless you have a sweet tooth reducing the liqueur as per this recipe makes for a more balanced drink. This is our favoured version of this famous New Orleans cocktail.

La Louisiane cocktail is as out-of-the-ordinary as the many distinctive dishes that grace its menu.
